Practice Manager – Allied Health & NDIS
Run the operational engine of an established regional psychology and behaviour support practice, with your authority in writing and a leadership team small enough that your judgement is visible.
About us
Distinct Directions is a registered NDIS provider delivering psychology and specialist positive behaviour support across the NSW Central West, with sites in Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo and a team of around 40. Our work moves people from crisis-driven living toward genuine independence, and the practice you will run is what makes that clinically and financially sustainable. Bathurst is our head office. The practice is in a deliberate growth phase, and the operational leadership layer will grow with it.
The role
You will manage the Bathurst site end to end, reporting to the Operations Director. You run the site administration team and manage the diaries, rooms and utilisation of the Bathurst clinical group. This is a business operations role with documented delegations, not a front-desk-plus title. You own:
Daily site operations, reception and the administration team
Billing and claiming across Medicare, NDIS and private health, debtor management and revenue reporting
Rostering and clinician utilisation
Recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews for site administration staff
Work health and safety, incident reporting, and privacy and records governance
Facilities, vendors and day-to-day practice systems
Referrer relationship management
You will work within documented procedures on a purpose-built practice platform with executive backing to improve both.
About you
Essential:
Demonstrated experience managing a practice, clinic or comparable service operation
Staff leadership experience, including performance management
Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check
Highly regarded:
Medicare, NDIS or private health billing and claiming experience
Diploma of Practice Management or AAPM membership
Experience in allied health, psychology or disability services

The offer
$90,000 to $105,000 base plus 12% superannuation, calibrated to experience
KPI-linked performance bonus of up to 10% of base
Full time, 38 hours, primarily on site in Bathurst
Funded professional development, including the Diploma of Practice Management and AAPM membership where not already held
